One More Time For The Cheap Seats: What Will It Take?

It's a question I have put forth repeatedly through the years as we have endured the abject stupidity, avarice, and behavior typically ascribed to a spoiled middle school mean girl that define Trump.

Watching as he has belittled and mocked the handicapped.  As he openly disparaged Gold Star families, Vietnam vets who survived being POWs - broken in body, but not in spirit, like John McCain.  I asked then, what will it take?

He referred to fallen soldiers as "losers" and "suckers" - STOP saying it was fake news.  It has been repeatedly corroborated by those who worked with him - like John Kelly, his former Chief of Staff.

What will it take to open the eyes of the MAGAverse inhabitants; to acknowledge that he was not a man to be elevated to our nation's highest office.  Hell, to feel a teensy bit of shame for what they cheer?

It wasn't the Grab 'Em By The Pussy tape - Trump in his  own voice, his own words, bragging about his penchant for sexually assaulting women simply because he can.  It would have buried any other campaign.  But no, you MAGAts started hand making t-shirts with arrows pointing to your nether regions, imploring your jellybean hued Jesus to grab yours.

Stealing children from their parents at the border, so many still not reunited.  That did not even slow you down.  Those people are brown, ergo, in your world, they are not human anyway.  That inability to see your own child in the ones torn from their parents, sent to camps alone, so many sexually assaulted, frightened, traumatized.  CHILDREN.  Yet nothing from you.  So comfy are you on your cul-de-sac or in your McMansion or double wide that you never need to fear anything like that happening to you or yours, so fuck the brown people.  Sorry, illegals - don't think we don't notice how you choose verbiage that dehumanizes at every turn.

And COVID.  JFC on a bike - you all know people who got it, died from it.  WE. ALL. DO.  His ham fisted, ignore-it-and-it-will-go-away handling of a massive global health crisis cost this nation over one million of her citizens.  He blackmailed governors who desperately needed supplies - kiss up or watch your people suffer.  He contracted it - right in front of you - and would have died (not exactly the picture of hale and hearty to begin with, fuck your make believe flags) had he not had access to doctors and medications out of the reach of you and me.  He then wore masks in front of you, got "the jab" - all the while encouraging you to stay stupid and belligerent and rub up against each other at doorknob licking parties. 

MAGAts, just like you, gasping for air in ICUs, begging for the vaccine.  Being told, "sorry, too late, here's an ipad to wheeze goodbye to your kin."  This happened and was reported over and over and over.  And all you could do was triple down, scream FAKE NEWS!, and throw another shitfit at the entrance of whatever store told you to GTFO without a mask.

What will it take?  Not a million dead men, women, and children, obviously.

He spent an entire term flouting every standard, convention, norm, rule, and law he rubbed up against.  Zero regard, zero concern.  From him or you.  And when he lost the election, you were so easy to manipulate with lies about it being stolen from him.  Forget that every court case was lost or thrown out because there was no fraud.  Well, there were a couple instances here and there - voter fraud BY REPUBLLICANS, but nothing to support their never ending litany of lies to you.  No matter.  You were told to "stand back and stand by."  Which led to...

January 6, 2021.  One of the most shameful days in this nation's history.  Hordes of you descended on DC and then stormed the Capitol building like Whitewalkers at the Wall.  All to thwart the proceedings of Congress in certifying the election results that did not go in favor of your petulant toddler-in-chief.  You injured and ultimately killed police officers.  You smeared shit on the walls, destroyed artwork, trespassed into offices, screamed "Hang Mike Pence!"

The world watched.  If you weren't on the ground, YOU watched at home, at work.  And even that violent, vomitous transgression against patriotism, law, the very foundations of this democratic republic were not enough to make you even question your loyalty oath to HIM.  Suddenly, it was a "day of love."  Then it was a "peaceful tour inside."  Then, when that bullshit wasn't sticking nearly as well as the QAnon Shaman's literal shit did to the walls of the Capitol, you switched gears to blaming Democrats.  It is the most pathetic and predictable fallback you all have.   

Evidence against Trump?  You concoct some sinister Deep State.  Tens of thousands attend an Obama, Hillary or Kamala campaign event?  Soros funded or AI.  January 6 criminals?  ALL Democrat plants to make Daddy Trump look bad.  Seriously, so fucking pathetic.

What will it take?

During the last campaign he was literally found guilty on 34 FELONIES.  And all you can still do is cry that the world is against him, that the charges were bogus, that he was set up, framed, persecuted.  No, dummies.  He was PROSECUTED.  A grand jury indicted him after reviewing the evidence.  He was given a trial, a jury of his peers - well, let's be honest, he does not consider anyone to be his peer, especially those poor people in the jury box.  Nonetheless, those jury members - Dems and GOPers - found him guilty on all 34 felony counts.

Was that enough?  Nope.  No introspection.  No second guessing your support of him.  Nothing.  Just unending caterwauling about how unfair, biased, corrupt everything is against poor, wittle Donald von Shitshimselfdaily.

And on went the campaign.  Meagerly.  No big rallies.  He couldn't be bothered.  Or maybe you couldn't.  Either way, no matter, he had Elon Musk and $250 million on his side.  And what is each day being revealed to be serious anomalies in vote tallying.  

His every campaign promise centered around hurting other people.  Mass deportations.  Transgender people.  Obliterating agencies that insure your baby's formula is safe, that public health is monitored and guarded, that grandma's social security check shows up each month.  He said every quiet part OUT LOUD, yet you ignored it all.  Surely he didn't mean it would extend to YOU.

Inauguration Day came and who stood proudly beside him?  You?  A coalition of MAGAts?  No.  Billionaires.  Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Brin, Cook, Adelson, Murdoch, etc - billionaires worth a combined 1.35 TRILLION assembled like some alt-universe Marvel villain collective. 

BILLIONAIRES, dumbass.  That's who he serves.  Not you, Cletus.  Not you and your friends down at the Applebee's bar.

Did that get your attention?  Give you pause?

Suddenly, every shitful thing we warned you about, begged you consider started to come to pass.

He installed Musk and his made up treehouse called DOGE and they set to raping every piece of personal, private information about all of us.  Banking info, social security numbers, everything.  Trump sanctions it all.  Eliminating agencies that exist to help keep people alive the world over.  Pulling grant funding that helps you, me, everyone.  Just one big raw dogging of every agency - summarily firing thousands of employees only to say "Oopsy!" and realize we actually need people who monitor our nukes, keep our planes from constantly crashing.  

Trump is scattering tariffs like a drunk spraying his dick everywhere in a 70s porn movie house.  No one is safe.  The economy is failing.  Your retirement accounts are falling.  Safety net programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Meals On Wheels - all being broken.  Social Security is being systematically torn down from inside.

Don't sit there and act like none of this touches you.  We know exactly how much Red States take, how many MAGAts rely on social safety nets to survive.

Will that get your attention?

So how about this?  The current national security nightmare-fiasco-dumpster fire that is the Signal text group headed up by Pete Kegseth that had no compunction at all about using an app to share classified information - right down to weather reports and bombing times - with a group that - OOPS! - included an Atlantic reporter who had been added by national security advisor Mike Waltz.  This is huge, this is serious, this is YOUR national security that this inept, unserious, unqualified group of miscreants and emoji cowboys is playing fast and loose with.

Will this finally open your eyes?

You gleefully supported over 33 hearings on Benghazi, not caring one whit how your tax dollars were being squandered on a "witchhunt" in which your own party could find no wrongdoing on Hillary's part.  Will you insist on heads rolling, accountability, an honest to God investigation into this?  Or will you do what every GOPer is doing in DC - spinning, pointing fingers, obfuscating.

During his first term Trump ordered an ill-conceived, bravado laden raid over dinner at Mar-a-Lago resulting in women, children, and a Navy SEAL being killed, and you looked away.  He was 600 seconds from starting a war with Iran as a distraction.  Planes were in the air.  Yet, you did not care.

Will that be your posture this time?  

"Her emails!  Her server!  Security!!!!!"  <----There's a popular one from the 2016 campaign trail.  Yet you were as quiet as a ward of coma patients as his administration used/uses private email servers, he still openly conducts the business of national security over dinner at his "winter White House," invites Mar-a-Lago members to sit in on cabinet interviews, and he hid classified documents in the bathroom.  And his clown car of national security buffoons are all using SIGNAL.  Not only is it unsecured, it flouts every requirement to keep and archive all communications.

So what will it take?  THAT is a serious question.

People are literally being disappeared off the streets of this nation for the crime of having tattoos.  Swept up, sent to a violent foreign country and imprisoned.  Don't believe me?  READ.  "You're here because of your tattoos."

Will that do it?

Will you have to see your own grandparents starve to death as Meals On Wheels evaporates?  Will Putin have to be caught with his tongue in Trump's mouth and his hand down his trousers for you to stop with the "fake news" bullshit?  Sorry, but just because news doesn't make your head feel good or your pee pee hard does not make it fake.  Will your child have to die in front of you because your healthcare disintegrated?  

What will it take for you to finally admit that you were lied to, vote grifted, used?  

Is the taste of his boots that delicious that you refuse to look up?  Is your patriotism that cheap, that meaningless, that hollow?  Is it still that satisfying to see liberals frightened about what is happening?  Is your callow, unChristian behavior that much fun to you?  Has laughing at other people in pain become an addiction, your funtanyl??  And are you seriously still willing to continue to accept the unacceptable just because it's your guy?

I'm sorry, but if you love this country, our Constitution, and care about it's future, you cannot just beat your chest when something is done by someone on our side of the aisle.  If it is wrong for a Dem, it is wrong for a Republican.  Take any of the things I have written above - any of them - and replace the name Trump with Obama or Biden or Harris or Clinton.  You know damned well what your side would be doing, what you would be doing.  Which is why I keep asking, what will it take?

I suspect for most of you it will take a target finally being squarely placed on your back.  

Whether it is healthcare, bankruptcy, the next pandemic, social security disappearing, your deployed spouse or child being blown to bits in a war of distraction and bravado, or finally being labeled a "loser" by Trump for being poor - it will happen.

You cheered as he targeted Muslims.  Because you aren't one.  You applauded as he targeted the LGBT.  Because you aren't one.  You proudly wore your MAGA hats as he targeted Mexicans.  Because you aren't one.  You laughed as he constantly went after minorities (pssst, brown people).  Because you are not one.  You clapped like a deranged seal as he repeatedly took aim at Black Lives Matter supporters.  Because you are not one.  You blew off his obvious ridiculing of a disabled reporter.  Because you are not disabled.  

Your target is coming.  It is inevitable.  You will need something at some point - we all do - assistance, insurance, school lunches for your children when you lose your job, food stamps, housing aid, an emergency operation, and on and on.  And when you do, you will be a loser, a taker, a welfare cheat, or as Musk put it, a "member of the parasite class."

Too bad you can't eat boot straps.

You are not exempt from what he is doing, what is coming.  Your children are not safe from it.  Your job, not safe.  Your retirement, moving further and further into the distance.  Our service men and women are definitely not safe from the action and hubris of him and his cabinet of inexperienced, callow dullards.

It's time.  I'm done asking.  We're done asking.  It's your turn.  You really need to look in a mirror and finally ask yourself, "What will it take?"

A Government of LARPers

I wasn't going to write about it.  It's out there, it's too much.  It is frightening.  It is infuriating.  Even my horoscope said to keep my fucking mouth shut today.  But Aries, amirite?  So here I am.

With this administration, on any given day of the week there is bad to spare.  It's a plethora of villainous acts.  It's a buffet spread of fuck ups large and small.  It's the Golden Corral of government and the chocolate fountain is actually just shit, constantly flowing, covering everything in its wake.

There is so much, all day, every day, it is hard to single out one issue over which to rage.

Today it could be Trump's faith stealer healer, and God's own Vanna WHITE, Paula White, and her latest cash grab.  Send in $1000 and she promises God will give you your own guardian angel; she promises you prosperity and that your enemies will be God's enemies; she promises you He will take your sickness away.  But wait!  If you pony up now, she'll throw in increase.  Oooooo, that sounds good, right - like Viagra for your wallet?  Sure, if you don't mind that someone has to be dispatched in order for you to increase via inheritance.  Meh.  MONEY!!!!  CHA-CHING!  And finally, the ultimate gift with purchase: she and the OG GOD will add a long life and a special blessing, just for you!

Seriously, who are the people out there stupid enough - yes STUPID - there is no kinder word for these rubes - who will actually pull out their credit cards and buy this horseshit?  I know, I know, I can picture them, too.  Red hat, Grab My Pussy shirts on the women, Daddy Trump shirts on the men, gold tennis shoes on them all.  We live on the edge of an economic abyss, but sure, throw what little money or credit you have to the wind.  What have you got to lose?  I mean, besides what little money or credit you have left.

My hair is already on fire about the innocent people literally being disappeared by this venal collection of ghouls.  If anything, I am still openmouthed over what is taking place, what has occurred already.  Swept up.  No legal reason or even cursory checking.  Tattoo?  Get on the plane.  No due process.  And certainly no humanity considered.  AT ALL.  And the story of what actress Jasmine Mooney endured for two weeks - and let's be honest, would still be enduring had she not had people on the outside with access to the media - when she was merely attempting to bring her visa application to border patrol in San Ysidro.  She, too, disappeared into vans, cells, living hell.

Think about that one.  Someone you love.  A friend.  A neighbor.  A spouse.  Your child.  Suddenly just gone, girl.  Poof.  This is not imagination run wild, this is actually happening.  Spend 20 seconds online and you will find endless reels and videos from legal professionals advising those with upcoming international travel to use a burner phone.  To wipe their social media.  To set an incredibly hard password on their devices.  To turn off facial recognition as password.

Why?  Because devices are being taken by customs agents and searched, hooked to other devices, swept for indicators that you have spoken harshly about Dear Leader or any of the things he holds most dear.  I head to Greece next week.  Which means I will be re-entering my own country a week later.  And while my passport and citizenship should be enough, I cannot tell you it will be.  No one can.  What this administration has sanctioned and unleashed is only going to get worse, the net only going to get wider.

One bright spot this week has been Vivian Jenna Wilson - one of Elon's Musk's children - the one he disowned for being transgender.  That girl has zero fucks to give when it comes to him.  And I'm here for it.  All his billions can't keep her from calling him what he is - the least of which is "cringe" and a "pathetic man-child".  And let's face it, he's not a father.  He's a pompous, ketamine addicted clown who bogarts other people's genius and packages it as his own.  He's someone who throws his sperm around like confetti (what is it up to now?  14 children out there? Mmmmm, family values) because he thinks he is the Michael Jordan of donors.  <insert barf emoji>

But the biggest thing that has been happening is the Signal chat seen round the world.  That's why I'm here today.  

If nothing up to now has shown the entire world - you, too, MAGAts - what a complete farcical shitshow is this collection of idiots, How Trump went on TEMU and ordered "government", this has to be it.  

With all due respect to the actual ComicCon, this entire administration is one big LARPing convention.  Nothing but cosplayers who all front main character energy,  but who are far from the roles in which they have been cast.  They are playing pretend.  And that's fine over a weekend in Los Angeles where there are a hundreds of people dressed like Ninja Turtle characters or Marvel's latest.  But we're talking about our fucking government, our national security, the people who are supposed to lead this nation for ALL OF US.

In what has been described as the "highest level of fuckup imaginable" (Thank you, Pete Buttegieg), those with the highest security clearances were found to be communicating on an unsecured messaging app (Signal).  Pete Kegsbreath, the ultimate DUI hire, JD Vance, Tulsi Gabbard, Marco Rubio, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and others including the editor in chief of The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg - a Signal group chat that found them sharing classified information, including them using it to coordinate strikes on the Houthi group in Yemen.

This is major.  This is fucking up in a whole other stratosphere reachable only by one of Musk's rocketships.  If they didn't continually blow up in your face.  LIKE THIS UNSECURED SECURITY NIGHTMARE.

These are not serious people.  These are people who love power, sucked up to the orange anus, and were given costumes and titles for their loyalty.  THEY. ARE. LARPING.  Live action role playing.  They have literally no idea what they are doing, what they are supposed to be doing, other than making transgender people live in abject fear, and stealing Greenland for Putin.

And MAGAts, is all this still worth makin’ libruls cry? Everything you purport to hold dear - the military, family, this nation - all are being ruined, cornholed into oblivion by your need to hurt other people. The irony is the people being hurt worst and first are YOU. The dumbest, poorest, least equipped to hang in there are on the chopping block. Look, it’s ok to not know something, to not understand issues, complex or otherwise. No one knows everything. But the people who are placed in positions of power, of gravity, of security should know what they are doing. How their words, their actions bleed into every other word and action all across the globe. But this is what you bleated for, what you wanted. You wanted to make the smart people deeply uncomfortable, to make the brown people squirm, to make libruls cry.

And not for nothing here, but that Nazi tattooed, abusive, rapist piece of shit, hair gel and vodka has the audacity to question the integrity and mental stability of transgender people who serve?  Say that they are undisciplined.  That they cannot uphold the rigorous standards of military service?  Put the bottle down and GTFO, Pete.  No transgender person has put our national security and the lives of our military members at risk.  (Or shown up at the 911 Memorial dressed like it's spring break in Cabo.)  That would be you and your collection of middle school mentality halfwits.  Seriously, 7th graders can protect their texts from their parents better than you can from THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD.

These people do their backass version of Disneybounding everyday.  For the uneducated, Disneybounding is a form of cosplay where you use your own clothes and accessories to create an outfit inspired by a Disney character, movie, or attraction.  These jackasses wear suits, ties, throw on some glasses to look smart.  They make sure their spray tans are on point for the Kleig lights when they talk to FOX every.fucking.day.  Their hair looks kempt, their nails cleans, the lipstick off their teeth.  They look like they could be responsible, thoughtful, intelligent, capable.  But I could look like a surgeon if I put on scrubs and a mask.  That doesn't mean I know fuck all about cutting you open.  My knowledge is what I have gleaned from ER binging and my newfound love for The Pitt.  But in Trump's cosplay arena I guess I qualify to shout, "Charging to 300!  CLEAR!" and then watching you ride the lightning.

Not surprisingly, Republicans - who all screamed themselves hoarse over Hillary's server - are spinning in circles to downplay this dangerous and egregious breach of our national security.  Had this happened under Obama?  Biden?  They would have torn down the Capitol by now.  OK, fine, tried again to tear down the Capitol.  And think about it.  If this happened by inept accident, what is happening that we know nothing about?

We are in seriously uncharted territory being led by a bunch of buffoonish cartoon characters.  And the fallout will not be funny.  No one is going to laugh when our service members die from this level of breach; no one is going to be kneeslapping when they finally pulverize Social Security and Medicaid/care; no one is going to giggle uncontrollably when their college student son or daughter is swept up and shipped to a Venezuelan prison for the crime of exercising their right to protest.  

Nero fiddled.  Trump golfs.  The end result will be the same.  The world, our world, is beginning to burn down as a bunch of inexperienced, racist, staggeringly stupid fuckwits play pretend.
