Violence begets violence 💔

I'm not sure how you were able to so eloquently put this into words this morning so soon after what happened. I'm still dumbfounded. My head's about to explode for reading facebook comments, many from family members and friends willing to put the blame at the feet of the president for inciting hatred against the police. Saying all lives matter, blue lives matter, when you get pulled over just do as the cop says and you'll be fine. All such BS. I can't believe how blind people can be and incapable of understanding what BLM means and is about. It sickens me that this attack happened because it will only make things worse. This will only escalate now. Cops will even more on edge and its only a matter of time before some crazy white person goes on a shooting rampage aimed at innocent black people as some sort of revenge. If I could just quit facebook and stick my head in the sand I would because I'm afraid I'm going to lose more friends and family members over this (combined with the election but that's another story though virtually everyone anti BLM is also pro trump so there is a correlation)

After living with a very, very good cop for many, many years I'd say that the good cops tend to disassociate themselves with the bad ones. Years ago I'd joke and say that almost all cops started out with a bad case of " I'm the Po-lice" the good ones grow out of it, the others don't. In many jurisdictions their hands are tied, their livelihood depends on keeping their mouths shut. There needs to be a better way. I don't care what color someone's skin is - their life matters. No one with a gun gets to play judge and jury. It's up to departments to weed out the ones who don't belong, and it needs to start now.
