The 5th Annual Homecoming Party At Casa de Sharp

Five years.  Amazing.  Five years since we had our first Homecoming Party when Culley was a sophomore and Kendall was a freshman.

How time flies.

Fast forward to last night, Carson is a sophomore, and the house was filled with a whole new generation of partygoers.

Sure there are still some crossovers - wonderful kids who are also friends with Culley and Ken, but who are juniors and seniors now, but on the whole, last night Carson shepherded in her freshman friends, all inducted into a "Party at the Sharps" by C and her sophomore circle.

Of course, with both C&K gone to college, the pressure to host it alone was pretty heavy, so Carson called in the help of Culley and Jesus who came in from A&M to be onhand to assist with the festivities.

Again, it is amazing to me how time flies.  How long it has been since I introduced you all to my children, welcomed you into their lives, and have enjoyed sharing them with you.

They are all doing what the Sharp girls do - kicking ass.  Culley is thoroughly immersed in her upper classes at A&M, Kendall just had her first Stat test at UNT this past week and got... a 100!  And Carson is keeping things as busy as ever.  She is currently juggling CATZ, training, games, reffing, schoolwork, and the female lead in the Fall show - The Three Musketeers - she plays Sabine.

And Rudy & I remain in awe of the incredible gift it is to parent these lovely young ladies.

Taking One For The Team

"Taking one for the team."

That commonly used phrase implies doing something for the greater good.  Stepping up, whether it literally be on a sports team, in the office, a sacrifice made for your family.

It doesn't literally mean TAKING ONE FOR THE TEAM.  

Unless, of course, your name is Kathia Maria Davis, 44, of Laguna Niguel.

Like those folks I have introduced you to before - the ones who really love animals, really love being a Scoutmaster, etc - Kathia really loves her son's hockey team.

Really really.

In fact, Kathia has been stick handling, nay, pucking, a couple of her son's teammates for years now.  A double minor, if you will (to use hockey speak).

Her spearing streak came to a butt-ending end last week when one of the boys cried foul and told his mother what had been going on for roughly three years.

Kathia, the life of the party at all the hockey fetes she had in her home, routinely fed the underage boys alcohol, and then after hooking them, performed her own version of body checks.

Offcials swooped in, took her to the penalty box, and she now faces charges of unlawful sex with a minor and lewd acts with a child.

So far only 2 boys have come forward, but police are still investigating, so don't be surprised when they discover Kathia used the third-man-in rule.

Musical Irony: Westboro Baptists Take It Up The Ass From Foo Fighters

It's a little hard to make out the lyrics, but Keep It Clean was the song the Foos rode up and serenaded the bigiots (bigots+idiots) of Westboro with when they showed up to protest the Foo Fighters concert.

Lines like "Driving all night, got a hankering for something/Think I'm in the mood for some hot-man muffins/Mmmm, sounds so fine, yes indeed." made for some uncomfy moments for the God Hates Fags assemblage.  If you listen closely you can hear the sound of their sphincters slamming shut in outrage.

Foo Fighters - you, and your man muffins, rock.
