Personally, I don't care how you vote, AS LONG AS YOU CAN ARTICULATE WHY YOU ARE VOTING THAT WAY.
This video is says it all. Unfortunately, the message will be lost on the people who need to hear it.

A large portion of the electorate is incapable of forming a coherent thought - or else they just mumble something that they heard somebody else say. I suppose you have three options,
1. complain about it (and probably lose the election)....
2. require a to-be-determined level of intelligence/awareness to be allowed near a voting booth
3. work with the electorate that you have and appeal to the masses
In an article today, Jonah Goldberg argues that Obama played to exactly that latter mentality two years "with rhetoric about 'we are the ones we've been waiting for'"

Three comments -
1. The video is no longer available.
2. The thing a politician fears worst is an educated, informed, and intelligent electorate.
3. (This is from a guy in Canada) "The Republicans say they want to take the country back. Frankly, I prefer a country that is moving forward!"
