Child abuse stories are plentiful. Pick a city, anytime, any day of the week, check out their local news website, and you will find any number of examples of man's (and woman's) inhumanity to mankind's children.
I've shied away from covering some stories lately because, well, there are just too many, and quite frankly, they are just too damned depressing.
They all also reinforce the fact that there ought to be a test people have to pass before being allowed to use their genitals for anything beyond urination.
Case in point...
A woman was caught on surveillance tape at an Orlando self serve car wash (you know the kind where you deposit your quarters, a massive hose turns on, and no matter what angle you try to spray at, you manage to wash more of you than your car?) using the power wash hose to discipline her child.
Police estimate the little girl to be roughly three years old.
In the video, the woman is seen holding the child by the arm against the wall, and directing the power hose directly into her face and all over her body.
The child tries in vain to escape what is happening to her - and who wouldn't? These hoses put out 1,200 pounds of pressure per square inch. Water jetting onto skin at that rate creates friction which can sting (think rug burn) and even make the skin peel off.
The manager of the facility, Marlene Diaz, did not realize what had happened to the child until she checked the tapes. She had heard the child crying in the bay and the mother hollering, "You're going to learn to respect me. You don't treat me bad. You don't mistreat me; I'm your mother."
Yeah, I know how awful it is to be mistreated by a three year old. Those toddlers can really bring da pain.
What a waste of flesh.
The tapes also reveal the women stripping the girl, then leaving her standing in the car wash bay naked. She returned with a towel and put her back in the car.
Police are asking the public for help in identifying the woman who could face child abuse charges when located.
Could?
Could?
You powerwash a tiny child because you have so little maturity or grasp on how to actually parent, and you could face child abuse charges?
Sorry, but that piece of filth needs tracked down, stripped down, and subjected to the same humiliation, disregard, pain, and trauma as she inflicted on that little girl.
I have a shiny new roll of quarters and I don't mind getting wet - anyone up for a road trip to Florida?

Ahhh, Florida again, why am I not surprised? I'll meet you there with my own shiny roll of quarters. What a piece of crap.

WTF is in the water in Florida??!!!! That poor baby. I hope they track down her useless "mother" and take that baby away before said "mother" kills her next time. If she does this in public where anyone could see, I am scared to think what she could be doing to the poor baby in the privacy of the rock she lives under. I'm in on the road trip with a bagful of quarters...

I'm already heading to Orlando at the end of the month. I'll bring the bungee cords to strap this individual to the wall.

I'm with you guys.. I'll be happy to bring the quarters and a sign that says "Insert here" for her arse.

My youngest grand child is about this poor baby's age and this little girl's treatment just breaks my heart. WTF is WRONG in Florida??

Trust me, I know from experience, these power washers can slice your skin open like a knife. My husband and 19 yr. old stepdaughter were washing her car one afternoon and she was holding the hubcap while my husband washed it off, the force of the water against the hubcap made the wand jump and within a split second brushed against my stepdaughter's hand in the gap between her thumb and first finger...it was a very ugly cut and nearly cauterized it immediately from the intense heat. While this was completely an accident, it was a very valuable lesson learned. We are extremely careful when using the power washer now. I cannot believe this dirtbag would do this intentially to a three year old! They need to put in an "express lane" to the electric chair in Florida for people like this! (Comedian Ron White says they've already put in an express lane in TX...is that true Linda?)

Sorry for the visual folks, but powerwash enema comes to mind for that "mother"...

This has been such a personally sad morning and now this. I would love to join the group going to Orlando and do a little waterboarding on a certain s**thead of a mom but first let me stop crying.

I have quarters, but mine are in a sock.

What a POS. I don't even know what else to say. I'm in with my rolls of quarters.

Unbelievable! One of my favorite lines is from the movie Parenthood. I'm sure you know it. It goes (I'm paraphrasing) "You need a license to drive a car, you even need a license to fish, but they'll let any butt-reaming asshole be a parent".

Count me in too. I'll even bring something to put on the wounds after we are done. Something like bleach or vinegar would do the trick. What a waste of space!!!!

I'll supply a jar full of quarters - off to the bank right now - how many do you need?

I'm with Amy...I like the powerwash enema idea!
Posted by: Vickie | Thursday, March 06, 2008 at 11:24 AM
I heard this story on the news this morning coming into work. I had NO IDEA that they hadn't caught the parent or identified them!!! You can't demand respect from a three year old - only fear. And I bet that POS has that now in spades.

I don't know if anyone else caught what you said, but are you okay? You said it was a personally sad morning and that you were crying...Talk to us, maybe we can help.

I caught your comment as well. Hoping you are alright.

You okay Nancy?
Posted by: SK | Thursday, March 06, 2008 at 03:22 PM
Nancy, sorry you are having bad times -- I'll keep you in my prayers.
There are some sick individuals out in the world -- this woman deserves the worst sort of punishment (I like Amy's idea of a powerwash enema).

Umm, I third the power wash enema.
I also am with AudreyF in that we can take the extra rolls of quarters, put them in a few socks and get to swinging while crazy b**ch gets her shower.
I have said for years that everyone should be sterilized at birth and before you can have kids, you should have to go through an INTENSE series of tests and training. Bringing a child into this world is the most important thing you can do but, as noted by an earlier poster, any a$$hole can be a parent. Good Lord, please look out for that child!!

I'm IN Florida and this biotch deserves to have that hose turned into a gigantic enema. She ought to be ashamed of herself. When you get here, look me up. I'll hold her and you can point the hose.

latest news is the woman turned herself in, but was not identified at this point - - probably due to the fact that so many people want to lynch her sorry @ss. The child was examined and was found to be ok and is still at her residence. They are still investigating and will decide if child abuse charges should be brought against the mother *****.

Momma is in jail and the little girl is with her grandmother!!! The biatch is 5-months pregnant!!!
DCF is investigating and will be giving the little girl and the infant as soon as it is born protective custody!!! Whatcha talking about...I was already driving around looking for the carwash because it looked familiar...and I wasn't packing quarters!!!

Im with everyone on this one, my son is two and a half and I could NEVER put him through that. Some people seriously ARE sick. That poor little girl! It brought tears to my eyes... Im with ya'll about hosing down the mother, but might I point out that this would not be sufficient to make her feel what the child did with that kind of force on her little body.... I vote for a slight modification to the powerhose- and suggest someone should SANDBLAST THE B*TCH!!!!!!!!!
